awwwrite

Terms

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These terms cover your use of awwwrite, a free, unlimited place to write books, share them and read other people’s books. Readers don’t need an account.

Your account

You must be 16 or older to use awwwrite. You sign in with a one-time 6-digit code sent to your email; there are no passwords.

Your writing

You own your writing. You give awwwrite permission only to store it and show it as your visibility settings say: private, unlisted (anyone with the link) or public. Co-writers you invite can edit the books you share with them.

Rules

  • Adult content is only allowed in private or unlisted books.
  • No illegal content, harassment or spam.
  • No other people’s work without their permission.

Readers can report content. We may hide content or close accounts that break these rules.

Leaving

“Download my books” gives you a Markdown zip of your books, notes and covers. Deleting your account removes your account and the books you own. Cached covers and photos may stay available for up to one hour.

The service

awwwrite is free, with no ads, and is provided as is. We may change these terms; when we do, we will say so on this page.
